History
1860's - The Carter family presence in the Coffee Creek and Trinity Alps area dates back to the 1860's.
1930's - Formerly the private estate of California Supreme Court Justice Jesse W. Carter, the property is located deep in the heart of the Trinity Alps Wilderness.
1940's - Jesse's son, Harlan Carter, pioneered the property and built Carter's Lodge, formerly a wilderness resort on Section 31.
1980's - The section (640 acres) was divided in the 1980's and offers in-holders the ultimate in privacy and seclusion. It is accessible by four miles of road through a locked gate. The 44 acres being offered is the last to be sold by a family member; parcel sizes are restricted to a minimum of 40 acres.
As part of the original Carter Family estate this private in holding, road and improvements, date back to the 1930's when it was purchased by Jesse W. Carter
